Ok, I said that we shouldnt speculate, but after looking at the pictures again, the second one looks dwarvish, like Erebor. Just my $0.02

Looks like three clampacks to me, one of which is Dwarven, which means more Finecast in my army
With the Tau, while I used to collect them, I can't see myself buying them. They put off re-doing the Codex too long, and as a result I (like presumably many others) have stopped using them, moving on to a different 40K army.

Whereas I would like to start Tau as a second army (I have Raven Guard Space Marines), I won't even consider it due to the prices.

Hopefully they will finish off the 1st movie with this last batch of 3... Let's see, we still need:
Azog foot n mounted...
Thrain...
and Gandalf's moth... :gandalf:
Moth of Middle Earth
Pt Cost 50, Fight 0, Str 0, Def 1, Att 0 Wnds 1, Crg 7 Move 4". Deploy Gandalf's moth anywhere on the board after deployement phase no closer than 12" from any friendly model. If Gandalf's moth comes into base contact with Gandalf and then is able to reach any table edge before the game ends or it is killed, the following round you may deploy the " I win Button "
"I Win Button": Roll for 4d6 great eagles that are then placed anywhere on the battle field of your choosing, displace models as needed. :yay:

Bit of a weapon of mass destruction don't ya think?

You could just deploy it 12 " from Gandalf, move them into contact within 2 turns then use some basic warriors to shield the thing back to your own board edge for eagle suprise. I could see a few gamer rages with that one mate! :-D :o

At the prices GW wants for their figures, I will be using other makers figures or converting my extra LOTR figures.

In all seriousness the prices that G.W. are asking really have become prohibitively high! Particularly with foot and mounted fine cast at £25. I like the malleability of the material, but dread buying them because of all the green stuff that I will have to use on the inevitable air holes! The doubling in price over the last few years in the price of plastic troops has been a concern as well.

We still don't know what's coming out next month?...

I have most of the Hobbit range, I can honestly say the models that are not previously metal and being cast in resin, by that I mean fresh sculpts like Elrond, Gwahier etc. are miles better in quality then recasts. No bubbles, just some minor gap filling that you should do anyway, and very little warping. They've figured out fine cast now. Expensive yes, but these are the best models I've ever owned. The riven dell knights and grimhammers are a dream come true for me.

That is because the new models have the proper molds for resin whereas GW tried to cheap out with the first batch and use the same molds they used for casting metal in. Long story short, the old molds reacted with the resin, deteriorated and voila! Miscasts.

Seems like they have figured that out now. My hobbit FC is the amongst the best I have seen so I'm happy. Would I rather metal? Yes. But hey, dont have the option with that so I'm good with FC.

Makes sense to me. Just tired of people complaining about it, yes it sucked when it first came out, but at least the new stuff is coming out great. And if you do have an issue GW fixes it free and fast usually. The problem is all the new players that have jumped on the Hobbit bandwagon and want stuff from the older range. They're going to continue to have issues with the recasts. I lucked out because I've been with the game from the beginning and already have 99% of what I want from the old range.
