Don't get me wrong, I am loving these releases, however I have found myself staring at the images and thinking that his 'claw' arm/hand is far too long?
From the film, it was clear that the arm was cut off from below (not above) the elbow, therefore looking at it...I don't know...it just looks very long and wrong.

From what I have seen it would appear that he leads them on an attack on Mirkwood whilst pursuing Thorin's Company.

With the 'eavy metal paintjob and the great photography they've got going on there mini actually looks better than the CGI Azog in the first movie. I really like it, and I didn't expect to.

That claw arm looks ridiculous, though. I wish it was optional, or... something.

The young dwarves are stunning, especially Thorin! I love painting blue tones like that. I haven't bought any Hobbit figures recently. I still need to get Thrain, Thror, Elrond, the Rivendell Knights and Radagast's sleigh, but I will definitely be getting those 3 before I fill in other gaps in my collection.

Yeah, I like that finecast Thorin a lot, I'll very likely be getting him to do up as a display mini. Looks like he's packed with detail for such a small figure.

The weapons look so small in my opinion.

Amazing releases! Azog really looks menacing. I recon Thorin looks the best with his Oak shield! These models would look great for a diorama.

Not sure if we see the proportions right on these pictures.. Azog seems to be quite huge as he is on a 40mm. I think we see more of the hook than of the arm. Therefor I think we get the illusion of it being bigger (relative to the arm) than it actually is.

However, this is just pure speculation so don't get me wrong, its not like I'm trying to attack you :P

I quite like Azog. You can keep the others. However, the biggest thing that jumps out at me for the foot Azog is the way it is sculpted. When last I checked , pectoral (chest) muscles don't sit under the armpit when arms are raised. If you raise an arm like that, the chest feeds straight into the shoulder. The only thing I can think of is that the arm is cast separately and has been glued on upside down for a more dramatic pose? I realise that's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black, as the Azog I did had proportion issues, but I'm interested to see exactly how big he is, as many here also commented that my version was oversized. :)

I noticed that too, but the laws of physics might not apply to Orcs

Both yours and GWs are brilliant renditions, and kudos to you for being the faster.

The musculature on the foot model is kinda weird, but the pecs aren't under the armpit, least ways they don't seem to be. The erector spinae seems to be missing from the foot model.

Are we looking at the same photo? His left pec is fine because his arm is low. His right pec has been sculpted symmetrically, which leads me to believe the mace wielding arm was originally down by his side. With the arm now raised, the anatomy is wrong, as in reality the pec would flatten slightly as it is being stretched. I can't really comment on the erector spinae as we can't see his back, unless you are referring to the lat area?

Will they have new profiles, the dwarves, I thought some of them like Balin had a weaker profile because of age, etc..

I like the new sculpts, but I will not pay $20 U.S. for a single foot figure, no matter how nice a sculpt.

I think you are thinking that the fold in-between his arm and pecs is his armpit, that looks like it's just a fold in the skin caused by him being so dag gone buff. And the spinae is the part of the back muscles that is right below the arm. It would create a triangular shape in a body that buff holding his arm that way. You can see it on the mounted model, but not on the foot model.

I don't think that's what he meant at all Draugy, he meant that when the arm is raised the pectoral itself moves.
