I'm still getting over Legolas wielding Orcrist, let alone a model wielding it.

Let's be realistic rather than wishing for models that have no chance of ever being released. Legolas mtd w/ orcrist? Would be a pointless model seeing as legolas cannot have orcrist as wargear. Might be cool, but pointless.

My money is on Beorn and the gundabad orcs (+ captain maybe). they're the only things not released from the DoS book.

Don't forget Girion. (bit of a pointless release, but oh well)

Good point, just another £10 or £12 for a single figure.

What I'm really hoping is that they redo the rules for Azog and Bolg. The characters have changed so much since the rules were first made. Maybe make a Gundabad Orc General with his own special stats, but I find Azog on foot to be rather underwhelming.

How is wounding any hero on 3+ underwhelming? I get that he has low defense but that doesn't matter so long as you win your fights. All heroes have weaknesses - bolg has higher defence but has to walk everywhere, for example. Though I totally get what you say about how their rules don't entirely fit.

Beorn as Bear. I have little hope of plastic gundabads.

Yes, I also had a look at the pictures in the DoS book and there are only 3 different Gundabad Orc poses and two different types. So 3 with sword/shield and 3 with spear. And if I remember correctly from the Hobbit the Gundabad Orcs that formed the bodyguard of Bolg during the Battle of the Five Armies were actually called Great Orcs or Uruks. Though the helmets are quite varied and different from those of Isengard Uruks. Especially love the guy that looks like he has an axe attached the the front of his helmet.

Sure, Azog wounds on a 3+, but Bolg wounds most heroes on a 4+ anyway and he's got much higher survivability. He might have to walk everywhere, but Azog has to pay 50 points for his extra movement. I'm not saying he's not worth it, just a bit fragile. If he had armor, he'd be quite worth it.

Well we did get stuff like "The Death of Gothmog" and "Gimli on Dead Uruk" so it's too much of a long shot.

I would say Gundabads this months. Not gonna be surprised if they're finecast.
Whats left for this year?:
-Other Bard.
-Bear
-Possible FC Thorin's company
-Girion
-Legolas on horse
-Bolg ft/mtd (?)
-Gundabad Orc captain
-Probably another Bilbo.

Based on the DOS book that's all I can think of.

Laketown Thorin's Company would be brilliant, even though they only wore them for a few minutes.

Maybe we'll get some unforseen releases much like the warriors of Dale last year, I'd like to think about the elven warriors seen in the prologue of UAJ.

Although the first thing I'd like to see this month is Girion, Lord of Dale.

There's a mounted Legolas due?! Please tell me there is, is he in the DoS book?

Anyway, slight outburst aside. I'd like to see the Finecast Thorin's company. Been waiting about a year now, I put some money aside specially for them and I've been very patient. I'm not a big fan of the plastics, and the FC look great. Plus, I'd like to see the Gundabad Orcs.

In the rulebook they are in the background behind a group of Laketown Guard, although the houses are a bit distorted because of the nature of the shot, they're clearly not any of the current scenery kits, so they're either gonna be a release, or they'll be specifically made just for that photo.

If they are released, I can see them making a bit more generic so that they can be sold for WFB aswell. :)
