I have the dwarf lord from Unreleased and it is a very nice sculpt which has been cast well.

I'm surely excited on the efforts of small companies trying to give us what should have been delivered by GW in the first place and actually I'm quite satisfied by the quality of the sculpts (judging by the photos-of course there are flaws ), but I was mainly discouraged by the prices of the models from Poland. I don't know yet, I'll wait until November to see if GW will give us one last wave of releases (highly doubtful).

How (If) may I order fron unreleased miniatures without having to use Facebook?

I ask this since i do not use that evil invention , and I don't have the least intention of doing it in the foreseeable future...

Would it be posible to order via e-mail??

I agree, love the sculps - just not the prices :-/

I'm interested to know how they can get away with these sculpts though. Thormallion and EBob have run into problems with sculpting stuff to close to lotr ip, and most of that stuff was lesser known stuff like the weathertop griffin things, or villagers who looked like a certain bartender....But these are clear copies of well known characters that are being mass-produced and sold...I assume with no official licence from Tolkien estates or Warner/the movie. So, are the lawyers just less active now that Gw's lotr figure line is dying out? Or....what?

I also wondered about this problem.

Maybe that´s the case. However, maybe unreleased miniatures don´t have these problems, because they are producing minis, that GW hasn´t released. So this is not the problem of GW, it´s the problem of Tolkien´s lawyers.

Yes, this is the only way they are currently accepting orders, at least until their web store is ready. Send your message to unreleased.miniatures@gmail.com

I guess it could be the "unreleased" but that is protecting them, though that new not-Faramir with shield and sword is a character that GW has produced (Faramir Gaurdian of Ithilien...)

Various figures that could no longer be produced by Thomarillion and eBob were most certainly not directly competing with anything GW sold either. Because they were clearly based on people or creatures from the movies, however, GW still had the rights to produce figures for them (as they later did with some, like the Watcher, but not for many others).

Wouldn't surprise me if the main lack of action by GW is indeed because they are 1) basically not supporting the game anymore anyway, and due to that, 2) are certainly not going to produce those figures at any point in the future. The situation has of course changed significantly compared to 10 years ago.

As for the actual manufacturers, I'm glad to see some people picking this up, for now making various models never released by GW, in the future perhaps figures no longer sold by GW. The Polish company seems to have a nearly comparable quality too, although those prices are rather excessive.

Speaking of price do they have a price list anywhere? I would like to start saving up for an order but I'd prefer not to be reduced to eating ramen noodles for three months to do it.

I'm happy with any independent producers if they start making pewter models again. I refuse to build resin armies because I don't like the weight of them.

Good lord! 30 pounds for Dain and the set doesn't even come with bases? Tack on postage to the US and this one set is well over $50 USD. These are priced higher than GW. Sadly, I'll never be able to justify such an extravagant purchase for my games.

They are amazing sculpts nonetheless and I do with wish Unreleased Miniatures good will with their business.
