They're not adding Beorn, he was already in the book, they are including him, and we already knew they had hired a Mikael Persbrandt to play him.

A pity they changed the Wargs to look like Wolves again, instead of leaving the hyena-looking things.

According to certain versions of Tolkien's writing, yes, but sometimes Wargs are just anthropomorthic wolves.

In any case, Jeackson first Wargs are actually wrong anyway, so he is rectifying it, I just don't like the lack of continuity, and the fact that GW will make models of 2 different types of Wargs.

Sauron turned himself into a werewolf to fight Huan on the bridge of Tol-in Gaurhoth. Huran held Sauron by the throat. Sauron escaped in vampire form. I do not know if Sauron changed into mist or a cloud of bats. He flew away. Huran also slew Draugluin on the Island of Werewolf's and later Carcharoth.
I can not find the reference to evil spirits and Wargs. David Day A Tolkien Bestiary agrees with you that they are the same. Tyler from the Complete Tolkiem Companion agrees with me. He refers to Wargs as phantasms and not real wolfs. I have not been able to track down where I saw it.

Wargs and Werewolves are not the same thing, Werewolves are evil spirit-possessed true. Wargs may be the descendents of Werewolves but they aren't the same thing. Draugluin and Carcharoth are Werewolves, not Wargs.

They are good Guides but not foot noted. It will take a while to find it in the History of Middle Earth. You are correct Wolf and Warg seem to be interchangeable. The werewolf's seem to be the four footed type as well.
