Post subject:  March & Rest of 2013 Releases

Seeing we are almost halfway through February, I'm surprised I haven't seen people discussing March releases yet. I've done some googling and found an article about a supposed leaked GW schedule for 2013. The first two months we're 100% accurate, and it states that March will see more Hobbit releases. I'm interested to what people think they will release, I'm currently keeping my hopes up for Erebor Dwarves, but the lack of imagery has me worried. Perhaps the insiders here have more info? The article can be found here;

http://www.thefieldsofblood.com/2012/12/games-workshops-2013-40k-and-fantasy.html

For the rest of 2013 & 14 probably, I've found a document with product codes which lists products for 2013 (I'm not sure if this is illegal to post, so forgive me if it is, and delete this post!) Edit: Claimed to be fake! Personally I had never seen the list before since I recently started playing again.

Still, in my opinion one has to have a vivid imagination to come up with a list like that, apart from the obvious fact, the first thing a company does with leaked information, is to claim it to be false, still for those interested;

Wow great find! Did anyone notice the 'Grinnah and Mirkwood Werewolves' entry? Does that suggest our goblinoid pals will appear in the next two films aswell?

In the Book it's the goblins that chase down the Dwarves to Erebor, so it could be Azog & Bolg, pick up some of the remaining angry goblins on the way there.

The list in the second link was released quite a few months ago, in November I think, and was confirmed to be an (albeit good and well-developed) fake.

Hi all, before you get too excited, this list first appeared in August last year and GW denied it. That said there are some plausible sets here, just not sure about boar riders or dwarves riding drakes.

Hmm, I'd say one would need a lot of imagination & inside knowledge to come up with this list though, can I ask who confirmed this? Cause from what I hear from the 40k community, they take it pretty serious.

Answers my question ^^, still lots of room for debate, especially for the likes of me who hadn't seen it!

I have read in a lot of places the lsit is fake, shame.
Personaly i think there is to much on it to real

Good question at the start, no mention of any rumours regarding March releases, if any

March = erebor, Thror, thrain, (most likely) then lindir, azog and a new book either next month or very soon.

Awesome! March is probably going to be an expensive month for me! :P

Next Joke!!

The coming months will see the missing profiles get models and alternate models for the 13+1 companions.
That is all until the next movie

Post subject:  Re: March & Rest of 2013 Releases

I applaud the effort put into this list, whoever came up with it had alot of time to spare clearly! That said heres what I can pitch in.

I'm expecting next week to get the heads up on the March releases, with White Dwarf for March going on sale next Saturday you can expect some pre-orders to go online then, the usual stay up late on a Friday affair. I can't legally share any news until that date so keep an eye out, I'll be sure to let the forum know.

Rumor wise, we are all very much waiting for Azog and I would be surprised if March isn't his month. There is also the much awaited Radagast on Bunny Sleigh which actually has rules in the hardback book but has been slated as non-existent. Finally, we have yet to see Thorin's Company released outside of the box set, you can bet your bottom dollar something like that will come along this year. I think though, that it does seem as if they are fast running out of characters from the first film.

Reading the Hobbit myself, and I am near the end, I have been picking out certain points which stand out as obvious model releases to look forward to next year or the year after. Armoured Thorin's Company, a new Dain which will no doubt make the old model looks silly (ala Radagast) the Elves of course, Mirkwood Spiders and I can't wait to see what Beorn looks like!

Don't forget Balin, he went from being a hardcore tank to a frail old man. Azog + dwarf kings is what i'm really after

Post subject:  Re: March & Rest of 2013 Releases

Sorry to side track, but is the old Balin profile still usable? I would think so, but it just doesn't make sense that he becomes a better fighter 60 years after he was already old. I don't know, it's confusing.

Author:  Draugluin [ Tue Feb 12, 2013 10:45 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: March & Rest of 2013 Releases

It's still usable, I just would proxy him as a generic dwarf king for the sole reason that he has a new movie official model and profile.

As to next month, I'm gonna say Erebor Dwarves, Erebor Captain, Grimhammer Captain, Thror and Thrain. Then the next month I think we'll see the company, hopefully released in 2s and 3s. Then the month after that I would say Azog, Lindir, Grinnah and the Scribe (although they might just leave those last 2 as the reason for buying the starter set). Then the month after that, a sourcebook with the possiblity of new models for any possible new profiles.

I would have thought that the fact that

FIRST MOVIE SPOILER

Kili kills Grinnah in the first movie

proves that at least some of that list was speculative based on leaked/rumoured names.

Post subject:  Re: March & Rest of 2013 Releases

I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped a month...or three. They can't release stuff that's in movie 2 or 3 and there's just not a lot left from movie 1 to release.

What would be nice is a scenario book, and/or a terrain book...or both in one.

The list isn't that far fetched the Iron Hills Dwarves, or at the least Dain has been confirmed to ride a great boar into battle
