Craziest/Funniest/Worst paint job youve ever seen.

I often check ebay and of course there is a multitude of horrible paint jobs even for my standards, which aint good, lol.

I have seen some insane color schemes. I received a batch of elves and there were a few test painted crazy colors.

I was wondering, what was one of the coolest/craziest/most interesting paint jobs you guys have ever seen. I completely am so strict when it comes to painting. I want mine to look like the characters or like them with a little twist like a red elf cloak or something....but I usually am what some would call boring.

But now, I do want to paint some troops(dont know which kind) with someone thats out of the ordinary.

Im thinking Uruk Hai with basically red armor then darkened some manner. I was going to do some Morannons a lighter green over their armor but I got scared and painted over lol. I only had one set of Morannons at the time.

So pictures would be nice, but at least stories or ideas youve seen.

I dont intend this to be about good painting, because we've seen what some people do here cough Dead Marsh cough. But unique stuff!

By far the craziest paint job I've ever seen was a bright fuchsia-pink Rivendell army. My local independent wargaming store were using it on a display to advertise the new Rivendell Knights (that is, when they were knew back when they were released), alongside some older LOTR SBG Galadhrim Elves. I have to say though, despite the garish colour scheme, it worked beautifully, and they were painted very well, almost on-par with the 'Eavy Metal standard of painting before that went slightly downhill.

Oh man that would be brutal on the eyes. I wonder what inspired them. I couldn't hurt the KO rivendell like that

I have seen some horrors, not just of painting but even more so in the assembly stages. At one event many years ago I had to ask a guy what the mini was that he had put down on the table. He looked mortified and said it was a chaos something or other.
It was so bad I could not tell whether it was the right way up or not... and the paint job

The nearest I can describe that would be to put Shrek on hallucinogenics and let him finger paint a mini.

Every model I assemble is a horror lol - not my strong point.

I have no idea what inspired something so bizarre, but like I said, strangely, it worked brilliantly! I just don't have the guts to do something like that myself. I also don't collect Elves, just a few Mirkwood folk here and there, so I could never forgive myself for painting my Dwarf horde in such a flamboyant way.

I remember one, I actually think it was from Bilboofthewhitetower, he was painting up orcs and made one look like a turkey, subtle paint changes but it made me laugh lol :yay:

. That's pretty funny I'm going to do a weird one eventually. I'm not sure which yet though.

I found some weird little Christmas hats so I'll do a Santa dwarf but Xmas passed too soon
