This is my first battle report so go easy... lol.
Three players, me and a friend were Good, other friend was Evil. 100 points versus 100 points.
Bad photo of mid-game.
Forces were:
Good -
4x Warriors of Minas Tirith
1x Guard of the Fountain Court (these guys seem underpowered...)
3x Elven bowmen
3x Elven swordsmen
Evil -
2x Uruk-hai Pikemen
3x Uruk-hai warriors with shield
3x Uruk-hai crossbowmen
1x Uruk-hai berserker
Evil posted the Uruk-hai crossbowmen behind the wall on top of that hill at the beginning of the game and Good casualties mounted quickly. Our strategy as Good was basically just to rush the hill (only thing we really could have done...) with the Elf archers shooting whenever possible. I lost two men to crossbow fire before we even joined battle with the Uruks, and Evil played his guys so well that the Elves basically had to sit there until we finally rolled priority and could actually dictate the terms of the battle. I tried to kill the crossbows by fighting over the barricade but it just didn't work out for me... My Guard of the Fountain Court was the first to die from a crossbow hit. Aren't they supposed to be Gondor's elite infantry unit? The Uruk berserkers are also quite annoying as they seem to just tear through my men with no problems. Needless to say this was a short battle that lasted about 20 minutes or so. Didn't help that Evil literally rolled 6s whenever he really needed them!!
I still really enjoy this game despite a crushing defeat!
