Are the new books needed to do these? I don't have any of them but would be interested in doing one.

I have a question to make it more exciting should we add a critical table?
example: After every unsaved wound roll a d6, on a 6 a critical has happened consult the critical table- all effects last for one round
1- just a large wound, no unusual affects
2-a wound in left leg- half movement
3-wound in right leg-half movement
4- left arm- lose one str and unable to use weapon in that arm
5- right arm-lose str and unable to use weapon in that arm
6- head wound- lose 1 attack and lose 2 fight skill

if the model has a weapon in the right arm and nothing in the left and a critical occurs on the right arm they can switch the weapon to the other arm but lose 1 fight skill.

if a model receives 3 criticals to one appendix then it is loped off or in critical shape, this means that the affects are permenent, ( i am contomplating that if you take three head wounds then you die as your head is unattatched or just amazingly battered but that seems a bit broken)

what do people think?

sounds like a very fun idea. I especially like 4 and 5, very cool.
a few problems:
- it could be very hard to record the types of critical wound (particually with a Balrog)
- it would slow down the game
- a few games have already been played - they might have turned out diferently

well it wouldnt really slow down the game as you only have two moels on the field and your already taking a thousad pictues, and many navel games, especially BFG has a critical table that doesnt slow down the game very much, and the few games that have been played already have characters that only have 1 wound, except for gandalf, aaragon and boromir and gandalf never got hit and aaragon and boromir was a blow out, so i dont think it would have affected those games

It would have a huge affect on the game if a high wound model (like a Balrog) takes a single wound (since he has no fate) he suddenly only has 2 attacks and 8 fight, making it much harder for him to keep winning, because he has no might. This would horribly unbalance things. Just go by the rules as is. Speaking of Balrogs, could you go ahead and put up some of the evil guys? Particularily Moria? BTW I dibs the Balrog fight.

I'm working on getting more heroes. :-D When I find time, I might do the Gimli vs. Sam battle.

Some of those look like great battles. I might be able to do Gandalf v Legolas.

Oh, right. I forgot she could throw stones and wound with them. Anyway, some of those match ups look like they are going to be pretty interesting!
