Folks, i finally got round to staging a fully painted scenario. Its been quite a long haul but I got there in the end, including making terrain board, walls, and painting up all troops required. Me and a buddy played the game and I submitted a report to my local club, who have added it to their site. Please check out http://www.fusiliers.net for link to full PDF download of report (~2Mb total size) Link is on clubs home page for now, but can be seen later by looking in archives. I hope you enjoy it. We hope to follow it up with the following "Into the Breach" scenario. Regards Scott |

I think a scenario is in order: Easterlings attacking helm's deep, who wants to help writing it? That battle report makes me want to build the Deeping wall, very good! Can you post some pics of the wall, and maybe some measurements for the sake of reproduction? |

Dreamcatcher; glad you enjoyed report. The walls are fairly straight forward, and made as per guide in the Two Towers Journey Book. Made from 5mm thick foamcard. (battlements were two layers to make 10mm thick) 3 sections 8' long, with extra "section" made from ragged cut ends to make breached section. Quite easy to build, the long bit is cutting out and sticking on all the brick shapes from thin card. The stairs were cut from a section of 1" thick poylstyrene. Made a card template then very sharp xacto blade to cut all the steps out. The culvert curved top was made from the inner card roll of a label roll from my work printer. Cocktail sticks made the grill over the culvert. Making walls was about a weekends work. Sticking on all the brick shapes took a further week evenings. Hope this helps, good luck with your project. |
