Post subject:  BGiME rules query

Hey guys, this is my first post here. Not really sure if it should be in here for the BGiME section.
Basically, i have all the issues...in the loft I think xD But there were 2 game types I am again really interested in that were featured in the series but not in GW rules itself (I think). I've been out of the hobby for a few years.

1. There was a map of middle earth split up using hexagonal sections, and there are strongholds, terrain, army markers and such. If you can help me with the rules for this game type I would appreciate it.

2. I think there is one called Warband? Where you start with a pre-defined 'army'. IE, Uruks get 3 swordsmen and 2 bowmen
Goblins get 4 swordsmen, 4 archers, 4 spearmen....so on and so on. So they are all balanced, then you play against other people using the same rules obviously, and each model is effectively a hero with equipment and experience to be gained and they progress untill your entire warband are like, crossbowmen and knights of dol amroth. Haha.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Also, I'm 19. Live in the Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. Study at the University of Lincoln. If anyone fancies playing a returning newbie :P Hit me up

Thanks Guys
Ashley

Yeah they are quality little game types. Especially for me, being used to smaller battles where each model is an individual, not a huge fan of the movement tray lark
