Saying "please no more Dwarves" right before the 3rd Hobbit film (full of Dwarves) is as absurd as saying "please no more Rohan" right before the Return of the King and the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.

Actually we only got Rohan heroes released under the ROTK movie banner, and had to wait years for a solitary Rohan troop type (Sons of Eorl).

However, I hope that this is not repeated with the releases in the next film, which will clearly have heroes (most notably Dain and the Company), but I suspect will need clearly identifiably new dwarf troop miniatures for G.W. to produce something new, which would explain the lack of troop releases with ROTK.

I'd love to see all the dwarves in Dalish armour... although in the film it seems they dumped it as soon as they started going up the mountain...

I am more interested in seeing them tooled up with the finest armour and weaponry from erebor, and would like a Smaug model.

Yeah I'd like to see the Dwarves in full battle armour, hopefully that'll be the finecast set.

Also hopefully they'll just release the Goblin Town sprue separately.

I dont know ione said if anyone said it, but one of the guys supposedly to guard merry and pippin when the uruks captured them, Lugdush:
http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Lugdush

Have him 55 pts

Fight 5/4+
Strength 5
Defense 5
Attacks 2
Wounds 2
Courage 4

Might 2
Will 1
Fate 1

Special rule: Following Order- If Ugluk is alive, Lugdush never needs to take a courage test. In addition, Ugluk may use Lugdush's fate as his own, but if Ugluk dies, Lugdush's fate automatically becomes 0.

Like we need another named Uruk-hai scout captain. We already have 4. How about some named captains of other races?

Captain of the dead would be nice. My 40 strong AotD is kind of redundant now since warbands came into play as there is only one Hero available in the King of the dead.

A Hunter Orc Captain model. Everyone else in the Hobbit has one, but not them.

For AOTD, you could just paint a fiefdoms character as if they were dead; not the ideal solution though.
As for hunter orc captains, you could use the old bolg model. Cool, has a two handed weapon, fits right in. Plus people were likely to have bought him when they thought he was legit.

Can't anyone in the fiefdoms army list lead the army of the dead?

Well three things....

1-Dont hate me! I love Uruks!

2-How many boring Gondor captains do we have? Madril? Cirion? Beregond? Damrod?
BOOOOOORRRRIIINNNNNNGGGGG

3-The Uruks were the main antagonist force for the whole second movie.

Well, to put it into perspective Gondor existed as one of (and a lot of that time THE single most) the most powerful realms in Middle-earth for some 3500 years. Isengard Uruks were around for a couple of years at best.

Having said that, I'd rather have book-based characters like Lugdush than GW invented junk like Vrasku.

I'm not hating, merely expressing minor discontent with GW. Some factions barely have any named heroes (Khand doesn't have one, for example, since they are counted as part of the easterling list). I feel every faction should have at least one or two named captains, and five maximum. Not to mention Beregond and Damrod don't rank as captains as such, but that's nitpicking. If there was another Uruk captain, could he please please not be a scout. So many blooming scout captains...

As for Vrashku, not everything GW invents is junk. Look at Murin and Drar, for example. For me, Vrashku fits in better than Mauhur who is briefly mentioned in the books (though that's primarily due to that absurd topknot).

I love Vrasku. A cool profile. And yes I understand Gondor was. Thats why I believe they have lame heros. Beregond....like really.....want a boring model with no cool rules. Almost every Hobbit model has a more interesting profile.

Yeah agreed about the gw made up stuff. And yeah man, as for the named heros, other armies definitely do need them. Im just adding to the topic not picking one or the other. It was never about that.

Don't dis Beregond, he has a very thematic profile. Not every model needs a special rule to be cool. They just need a profile which reflects him. Instead of simply making a captain with an extra might point, they made a guy who accurately reflects how he was in the book. He plays an important role in a Gondor army since he provides a very cheap warband slot. His profile is significantly better than some of the company who were basically captain clones with unique war gear and Burly. If they were like that in the book or even the film smaug would wet his pants. They could easily kill a regular dragon head on.

What we really need is a new arnor/gondor supplement with the older kings of gondor like Earnil and stuff. That would reflect Gondor's history very well.

There's only one way to find out, FIGHT! Oh a Smaug model would be nice!
