A google search led me to this, a PDF with a list of common names for the various races. Its handy for anyone playing Battle Companies who want to name each individual model rather than just assigning numbers.

Using semi-random names is easier, I think. I suggest making a pool of names to draw from whenever a new model is added to your Battle Company.

e.g. I'll be starting an Arnor Battle Company soon (tomorrow hopefully :D) and I'm coming up with a few names for Hobbit Archers.

Family name; fore-name

Hornblower; Hamfast, Fredegar, Balbo, Will.

Goldworthy; Lotho, Odo, Peregrin, Folco.

Each time I receive a new Hobbit Archer, I'll pick a name from the list.

Really? I always preferred Jimmy (no joke). The next one became not-Jimmy, the one after certainly-not-Jimmy, the next definitely-not-Jimmy, and so on. :)
