A month or two ago I stopped playing and want to start again but I need inspiration to do so. I'm in the summer holidays and thus have plenty of free time. A project?
Thanks.

The answer is screaming out, you play and have time on your hands, then get building a gaming board.
How about The area of land leading to the gates of Erebor ?

One does not debate a return. One simply returns. They return in glory, drenched in the paint of their enemies! Crushing their little pewter weapons beneath your little plastic feet! Breathing in the settling resin dust while licking their lead tainted fingers. Do not debate, RETURN!

Hey dude, there's all kinds of projects you could go for. What do you think would inspire you the most?

Trying to paint an epic set of the fellowship or Thorin's company, maybe building one of the scenes from the films?
Starting a new army? Picking something you haven't tried before and getting some games in with it.
Perhaps going back to one of your older armies adding details or new characters or expand on the warriors they currently have.

Its all up to you dude :)

If you have made it without a slip up in the past two months, you are almost out!
Don't get tempted by going on a terrain building binge,
Don't run out to a GW store and splurge on all your old favorite minis,
Stay away from E-bay, because of all the great deals to be had,
and of course don't spend time with your old friends playing SBGs
"Just when I thought I was out...They pulled me back in"
ps.You never walk alone

What are some of your favorite themes/armies to work with?

Battle of Five Armies is soon, why not work up to that?

We know for certain that the whole project would need at least Gandalf, Wargs & Eagles of the miniatures available now, and probably Hunter Orcs too. Might be worth taking on small groups of these guys in preparation for the new shiny things in December, at which point magpie instinct ought to kick in.

Balin son of Fundin,

Come ride with me, one last time.

What more inspiration do you need. Follow your heart. Do something you have always wanted I do in Middle Earth. You only live once and as you get older, your time to game gets sparse.

Seize the day.

If you build it, they will come.
