Recently I dug through my collection and found a bunch of models I know I will not be fielding again and that I would like to sell on Ebay. Now I painted these models when I first got them but they all got stripped when I saw how badly they were painted. The question I need advise on is whether I should prime the models black before trying to sell them or should I paint them up again? I'm no DMS but my painting skills aren't to shabby these days and I think I could do the figures justice but would it make them less likely to sell? Any comment or suggestion would be appreciated.

If it were me, I would just prime them and sell them as is. Most people like to paint the models themselves to match their army.

I check ebay almost daily and have bought a good amount of models there, but I have never once bought anything that is already painted. I have bought primed models a few times, but I very much prefer bare metal or 'on the sprig' plastics.

Plus the painted stuff is always listed for double or triple the price of the unpainted stuff, which makes it even less desirable to me...

Just one man's opinion ! :)

Primed is the way to go I think.

I have bought painted models in the past, when the deal was good. But then I stripped them, so I wouldn't bother painting the minis up because a buyer would probably just strip it anyway.

If it's metal, strip the miniature and leave in bare metal state.
Simple Green (USA) is ideal for this application.
Heard it works on plastic too. Going to try that myself.

Simple Green works wonderfully on plastics as well. I wouldn't even prime. Im less likely to purchase a primed model as it might be overprimed and lose detail. I don't trust others lol
