What do you listen to while you paint, model, sculpt? Do you listen to music? What kind? Have the TV in the background? Listen to Podcasts? What ones? listen to nothing? Personally I listen to Podcasts, I listen to the Yellow fever (about wellington phoenix and New Zealand Football), How did this get made (about terrible movies and asking how did this get made), Freakonomics Radio (about the hidden side of everything). |

Anything on YouTube by GBHL or MSWG, or X-Wing Battle reports. If not, then podcasts like the Green Dragon, the Kessel Run and Nova Squadron radio. Failing that, Christmas carols. |

Audiobooks these day, we've gotten through Hobbit/LOTR/Sil/Hurin, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia and now working our way through Dune (currently on Sandworms of Dune so nearly at an end). Next up is Doctor who from Big Finish. |

Usually music, though I have to be careful. Certain types of music just make me put down the brush and pick up the guitar. Might be an idea for a playlist... I DJ semi professionally, sing in a band too. I live for music |

I haven't done hobby work for ages...but when I do, I listen to music. Mostly metal (thrash, power, folk, orchestral, etc.) Along with a lot of other stuff, dubstep in all it's many forms, rock, a little rap here and there, and soundtracks of course! |

Music. The range on this depends on mood. Sometimes Jazz, sometimes rock, usually of the ACDC variety. I'll watch Netflix too, but I really only like to listen/watch things I've already seen. I usually am not paying enough attention to watch anything new. Really, I just like background noise while I paint. |

Lots of music.... couldn't live without it. Pretty much anything metal, rock, or punk (fast or hard with rougher vocals). Linkin park, avenged seventies, nothing more, ffdp, papa roach, bfmv, skillet, thousand foot krutch, sum 41, some blink 182, the list goes on and on.

I listen to Metal of all kinds, punk, Industrial, and occasional side tracks like Linda Rhondstat or an Andrew Lloyd Webber Play., or even some rap. Favorites right now are Skold, Suicidal Tendencies, Queensryche, D.A.D., and I really like Royal Bloods hit track "figure it out" that has been playing recently, good tune. Oh and I actively avoid all the bands mentioned in 455_PWR's post.  Just kidding.

At the moment, the sound of my pulse drumming in my ears (ill with influenza). But when not ill, usually I put some netflix on or I will listen to metal, classical, prog rock, Christopher Lee's narration of the children of hurin or silence. faves at the moment are Amon Amarth, Manegarm, Vader, Iron Maiden and Jethro Tull |

I don't listen to anything I like because I usually end up humming along and ignoring the model work I'm doing. I don't listen to anything I don't like because I don't like it. So, much like I Am Frodo, the voices in my head are company enough for me, besides, there's enough of us in here for endless conversations, and some of them think they can sing well enough to go without any music. |

Usually the sound of silence, or its the kids playing, the wife watching naff TV, the odd ' can you help me with this' dogs playing or snoring. Occasionally even some music, Elbow mainly though I'm very eclectic. |

I usually listen to the Palantir  if that has already been watched then a lotr/ hobbit soundtrack. They usually inspire me to paint.

Got two places to paint: one facing the telly, one which doesn't. If football, rugby or possibly some sort of quiz shows are on, I may 'watch' those while painting, as they don't require much watching anyway (in case of sports: look up when the crowd starts cheering, not much happens in the remaining 80% of the time anyway). Generally music though: from Vivaldi and Beethoven to Rammstein and Slayer. Notable points in between include Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Blind Guardian and Ayreon. And of course, the latest GBHL 'hour of people talking', as they often are adamant we spend that time painting, and it's probably better to obey a Rohirrim, a Goblin, a Ringwraith and Tauriel. |
