Gimli is one of my fav characters in the book as well as the movies..
But in the movies, none beats Arwen or Eowyn! ;)

Other: The Mouth of Sauron. Ever since i read the book many years ago, the Mouth of Sauron became my favourite.

Awful list, those are the characters the movie fanboys tend to like :|

i have to say after consulting with my brother, who prefers theoden, i have come to realise the characters all have uniqueness, as well as contributing to your favorite character can you please mention why you like them please :twisted: :lol:

Glorfindel is my favourite character, partly because he was able to make the nazgul flee before him (+50 pts) (their usually on the other side of that line :D ). his really cool (+5 pts), his an elf (+20 pts), his ever-living (+20pts), his returned from the dead (+30 pts), he rides asfaloth (+5 pts), his an elven lord (+50pts) and a few other things (+9999 pts).... lol, that makes an awfull lot of points in my consideration checklist :wink:

I can't decide between Gimli or Treebeard cos they are both great.

My fave was Gimli. He was funny, though not in the books. The ongoing feud between him and legolas in the film was great. Especially in TTT extended edition

Yeah, I prefer Gimli in the films...his character helps to provide some of that small amount but in my opinion much needed comic relief.

Yes Gimli and Treebeard are both voiced by John Rhys-Davis...he seems to fit both roles so well too!

there is 2 many 2 decide i would have 2 say gimli & eomer both. both r excellent fighters & r equally @ reliable & loyal. so different in race but alike in heart.
