So, basicly this news is all about the fact that it isnt realy news. Ahah! There were some rumours about Neil Blompkamp being attached to The Hobbit but, apparentelly, they were no more than that: rumours. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ ... s/?a=19348 Still no director for The Hobbit.

Jackson has quite clearly stated that he doesn't want to direct the Hobbit or any of the prequels. Seems strange, but also kind of makes sense... But it looks like we'll be waiting a few more years for its release
