HELLO ALL I IS BACK!!!
Anyways, where is the shield that belongs to the mounted Mahud king supposed to go? Do I stick it on his back? Hmmm...

Hey there Judging by the pick i'd say the shield goes on the foot model for the Mahud King. Unless the box came w/ 2 in which case your guess is as good as mine as I don't see it in the picture.

This fella has it slung over his back/left shoulder... Maybe he's copying the king? I usually put my cavalry's shields on their left leg like the riders of Rohan have them in the films. I think it would be difficult to wield a large heavy shield whilst trying to ride a horse. But it's your model! Put it where you think it looks best!

For my figure, I use a temporary tacking substance to tack the shield onto the war camel -- just to the side of his left elbow.

Yes, such as blue tack, but I have seen it in other colors as well. I find them useful for shield -- temporarily tack a shield on when shield option purchased. The substance will not strip paint either -- well, at least I have not had that problem.

You see that? Right there. That's initiative. I might give that a try on my Galadhrim Knights, I find the shields really annoying to stick on in a place that makes them look like they're being held.

I'm pretty sure you can get specific tacks that don't 'stick' to the paint/surface too much.

You could also invest in some tiny magnets and either glue them on or drill a small hole for them :)

STOP what you are doing. You do not need magnets or pinning, or guessing where it should go, there is a hole sculpted into the model which the tab on the shield slots into perfectly, unless you had a bad cast which is rare for metals (or bought one from someone shady of ebay). I could show you a picture of the hole if you cannot find it.
