I bought a bunch of BTD Saracens to use as Harad warriors to augment my GW forces. I am trying to decide if I should just paint them with the GW purple and red or perhaps do something different. I'm thinking that a desert tan or yellow would be a good way to go. Anyone else use a different paint job on thier Harad forces?
Just to be clear I am not using these figures to game. I just enjoy collecting and displaying my stuff.

You should paint then in scarlet (red) and black imo, as they were in that in book and film so it'll be more obvious that they're Haradrim.

Check out my wip, and the one that inspired it. As well as an article on how to paint the scheme.....

Wow, really like that desert scheme!
Makes sense to me to have a wide range of options given the nomadic and disparate nature of most of harad history. I agree with gothmog that the harad that were in the pellenor appear to have been in red.
I'm going for a blue/red/desert colouring with dark skin. I'll pop a pic up when I'm at my pc, though thy're not as good as avenger's!

Ha ha, thanks. Though you probably have more than 2 warriors, a hasharin and a raider painted up. :P

Sorry it took a while, but I finally got around to getting these online, I've gone for sort of blue and desert colours on mine...

I'll get a photo up of the matching Mumak when I finally finish it (still WIP at the moment - on the blog if you're interested).

And no, so far I've only got the one troop and most of the Mumak done - so you've got my Harad painting catalogue beat =)

Thanks =) pants are graveyard earth with devlan mud wash. Takes a couple coats. Then again the new paints might cover better?
