If you do not want to "freehand" the design, you can easily make a stencil. This way each one would be identical. |

You don't need to mold and cast the entire shield. Just the pattern. Instant mold or even greenstuff can be used for this. Once it has set, you should apply a VERY thin skin of putty onto the blank shield of the womt. Then use the new mold as a stamp, gently pressing it onto the shield. Make sure you use a lubricant such as petroleum jelly otherwise the putty will get pulled off of the shield and be stuck to your mold. It may take a couple of attempts to get right, but once you get the feel of how much putty to use, and how hard to apply pressure you'll be sorted. |

If you use instant mold, the putty won't stick to it. In fact, it;s hard enough to get tit to stay there in the first instance. |
