This is a great thread, makes entertaining reading  Though posting Ebay auctions here could start a war, really it could It's also comforting to know I have most of the minis the decisions are about.... Except the usual extremely rare God help us all if one of these ever gets posted on EBAY....... Good luck with all your searches guys, I share your joys, disappointments and frustrations on trying to get hold of that "golden" mini

I have a question. I was cleaning out my boxes of gaming stuff the other day and came across a BME-3 Balrog, Encounter at Khazad-Dum box. It is still in the shrink wrap (though it is peeling a little) and never been opened. I found it on SoL (http://www.solegends.com/citlotr/bme3balrog.htm) but cant seem to find out much more about it. I will probably e-bay it eventually. Is there a market for these 1980's LotR minis? |

Posting to the states shouldnt be an issue since i am there. I actually managed to find a previous auction on ebay for the box $295. Without a picture! That seems a little fishy to me, but also fills me with hope/greed/my precious. |

I just ordered a bunch of outriders from GW and I ended up getting 3 of this pose. I don't think he is as rare as he is rumored to be. |

Well it is sensible if you want to get rid of it and people think it's rare. For instance, if I wanted to get rid of my Mahud (which I don't), I would call the Warrior with the outstrethed spear rare even though it isn;t because so many people think it is. |

Just stumbled upon this guys auctions...He has loads of OOP metal miniatures in massive lots, including old Swan Knights, Last Alliance Orcs and whatnot. If they were in the UK, the metal Orc Warriors and metal Warg Riders would be fair game, but they are not, but at least thats not more models that I couldn't get around to painting. |
