I discovered some rangers in my backlog a few days ago and i am going to make a ranger army (gondor rangers) Now when it comes to the painting scheme i don´t manage to decide wether i should take the more traditional green paint scheme or A dark grey scheme. whay do you guys think?

Thanks in advance

I did a combination of those two, grey undercoat, with highlights of green and grey, making the green more and more brighter.

I like it when people do something a little different with their colour schemes, so by all means, give grey a shot. If you think it could work, it may be worth trying just to give your army its own unique identity.

Im with emperor_thompson in terms of trying something different. You could also go for a greyish brown look, could look cool.

I saw this on the last alliance site and i thought the brown cloaks were cool.

Maybe you could do something like that but replace the purple with something, since purple doesnt seem like a very ranger color to me. Maybe even a greenish grey.

I'd actually suggest an autumn sort of scheme, with dull reds, yellows and browns.

Maybe you should take a look at the GW website, there's a cool article about ranger colour shemes there. I personally got specific squads (6 in green coulours, 6 in night stalker coulours etc.) and i think I'm gonna give my capt. a Numenor sheme (pic: GW article).
