Post subject:  Watcher in the Water Basing Ideas

Help !!! I'm about to commence work on the watcher in the water and want to sort the bases out before i paint the tentacles - i'm looking for a murky watery effect with ripples but have absolutely no clue in how to achieve this ....help appreciated

When I did my own, I sculpted ripples onto the base, The tentacle bases were first painted Chaos Black/Catachan Green (25/75). To this initial mix I gradually added in more and more Regal Blue. The waves and ripples I sculpted were highlighted with Fortress Grey then Skull White. I also stippled these two colours onto the bottom of the tentacles to give the appearance of 'white-water' spray. I have thes pics saved from my old lastalliance article.
