Hello

I remember seeing a picture in the war of the ring rulebook of an isengard troll with arrows in him. I rather liked that idea so I thought I would give it a go. I have used piano wire so far for the body of the arrows but I need help with the flights. Any suggestions as to what I could use?

Thanks,LOgan

Small pieces of 0.010" plasticard or card/paper would work well.

The easiest way is to cut the arrows from the plastic easterling quiver, and then stick them on.

I've used pins, with the flights cut from paper and glued on (you need fine tweezers for that job). The pins can be pushed into most figures, even metal, then you cut it off to the required length and add the flights later. That way the thing doesn't snap off the first time your opponent says,"That looks cool, how did you do it? Oh, sorry..."

I also used the plastic easterling archers, quite handy

it saves so much time with all the fiddly details of hand made arrows

It would be super fiddly, but maybe even toothbrush bristles could work.

Lol at that :)You could use real feathers XD jk You could steal the arrows from galadrim warrior archers they're pretty awesome. Maybe even little bits of cut up cloth.

You know what i use? Saftey pins, i cut off the point and glue it on the figure and paint them, they really make a good arrows because they already have a point, now I use them on archers who have them in there bow so i dont need to make the feathers.

I have only made an arrow to be coming out of a body once but when I did I used a short lenth of paper-clip straightenet out. Drilled a hole using a pin vice where I wanted the arrow to be. I then sculpted the feathers using greenstuff which was very fiddly but I didn't fancy trying to glue paper flights on. Then I glued the arrow into the hole.
