I'm starting a sculpt of WK, where he's attacking with a Morgul Blade but has his sword out as well. The problem is, I can't decide whether his sword should have the fire effect or not.
Opinions?

I used greenstuff to use fire. Its really fun to paint and adds some colour to the usual dark black silver model.

The fire was just added by the movie, though it was by his magic that the catapult stones caught fire in the book. Whichever you think looks better.

I vote for fire -- adds color.

It depends on three things:
- Do you feel up to sculpting and painting Fire (and OSL, if you want it to look really good)? I don't know how good you are, but I found it one of the most difficult things to paint.
- Where do you want to place your Witch-King? Is he stalking Frodo throught the Shire? Then normal. Is he breaking down the Great Gates with his magic? Then add fire
- What do you think would look best?

Maybe you could just sculpt it normally and if you don't like it add the fire later on?

He'll be defending Barad-dur from the siege of the Last Alliance. If I could draw anything more than pine trees, I'd show you the concept I've got in my mind - the one problem with it being that the picture's never shown his sword hand. :(

Then I personally would add fire.
