There was an article in WD (also reprinted in Best of WD, ROTK) about the fifedoms and converted figures and color schemes representing them. GW makes a few figures (Dol Amroth, Lamedon, etc) but there are many, many more that they do not.

So wht do players and modellers here do, for say, Ringlo Vale or Anafalas? I really would love to see conversions and paint schemes for any and all of the Fifedoms.
Not enough attention has been paid to them and I always like the idea of owning my own converted figures set. I do not care about the games or rules. I just like the terrain and figures.

Whatcha got??

Currently working on ALL the Fiefdoms Tolkien mentioned (check the link in my signature below). I haven't got very far just yet. I use this thread as inspiration, 11 pages of awesomeness! Hope that helps

Before GW came out with their Axemen of Lossarnach, I converted a squadron of them from MT archers. I got the idea from a picture in one of the supplement books (Gondor In Flames, I think, but I'm at work & don't remember). I gave them halberds (based on the one on the far left) with shorter, more hatchet based hafts.

I also remember some body-swaps being proposed. The only ones I tried were putting the top half of Riders of Rohan on the bottom half of Men of Numenor. It was a way to use leftover parts, & really doesn't look good. :o

Oh they look quality. Everyone has spare archers so this is an excellent idea! Thanks for sharing
