Well I was so dissapointed with the GW watcher I took it back. The scale of the monster is way too small in my opinion.
This thing is supposed to devour people whole, but the head fits on a 50p coin, which is smaller than a 40m base.
Here it is next to my own attempt from 5 years ago, and Gandalf.

It's a nicely sculpted head, but way, way, undersized. Ok if you plan on playing with 10mm figures.

On a plus, the Beast of Gorgoroth I got is fine except for a miscast bow on one of the orcs which I can live with. Once the two halves of the beast have had the hot water dip, just bend the head to the right slightly and they will line up fine.

Wow that is a lot smaller than I expected it to be.

Wow, an easy pass for $85 Canadian. If, on the other hand, you ever decide to cast yours up shoot me a PM ;)

Wow...the Watcher you see in the films is HUGE, easily big enough to swallow the entire Fellowship whole at once and then some - and you only ever see the head! This naff little thing looks like it would choke on Gandalf's hat.

That's smaller than i thought, but I can live with it, it's not too much of a matter, the rest of the body makes up for it.

Definitely. Here in Canada, we pay maybe $5 or 10 more for the much bigger Mumak. The Mumak also includes a sprue of Haradrim, which alone costs $26.75...

If he put it up for sale, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

I love the Tree Giants and Mountain Giant, but not playing enough WoTR means I wouldn't really use them much, if at all.

^I agree, the head size would be perfect if it was in between the two sculpts that are shown. Still the Finecast head is way too small, I would rather have UK's instead.

I'm not surprised. All of the big minis are at a smaller scale than thean-sized models. It looks the right size next to a Mumak, Balrog or Dragon for eg.

The Watcher had a baby!
:o
Seriously. If the box included three or four more just like it, I could see the price. But what are we supposed to do with one midget Watcher crawly bug?!
