(Hey everyone :) I'm kinda new in the forum, and I hope I posted this in the right one... there are so many :o )

I'm working on a Uruk-Hai Berserker/Warg conversion for the last few weeks, and I finished the first one yesterday morning. here it is:

I know, I'm a horrible painter...

Anyway, I want to play with them on my games, so I will need to create stats to them.
I thought of an normal Berserker/warg combination, which will cost 23 points(I wanted to post the stats, but I realized that maybe its illegal to do that).
I'm not sure If that's good or not, so I though I could ask here...

Thanks in advance! :)

I've never played Isengard so don't know what to recommend as regards rules, but the figure looks brilliant! Its got that 'coming to get you' look. Great work and welcome to the forum!

if the stats are house rules, them im pretty sure you are good to post them. There are various threads around that have house rules for thorin and his company etc.

The stats themselves are not made up - they are taken from the Uruk Hai Berserker and Warg from the big blue rulebook :)
And if its ligal to post the stats - I will.
I just wanted to know if its balanced

With a sword that size and the lack of finesse, I think the warg needs a saddle and stirrups. Otherwise its a cool mod.

so you have a cavalry with 3 attacks(when charging) and 4 str. seems legit to me :P Time to make more of them. Very good conversion by the way.

Thanks! I'm painting the third one at the moment, and soon I'll have 6 of these cool cavalry :)

(By the way - N00b-ish question - where should I post the progress of my painting? I'm posting from my Iphone, and I can't see those sub-forums descriptions clearly...)

Ew, happy I don't have that charging at me. I'd run for my life!

Very good conversion and the stats seem legit to me, though you'll have to watch out you don't expose them to archery, because warg defense is, well, not brilliant. When they hit, they'll hit hard though.

While the berserkers warg riders chrage for-the-kill, the rest of my army will kill the archers before they hit the berserkers(or anything alse that will pose a threat :) ).

Cool conversion! The painting is also very good.
As for the rules: giving the option of a Warg to the Beserkers seems fine to me. This would generally cost 6 points, but since he has 2 Attacks, you might want to consider making it more expensive. Then again, there was no such correction for the Mahud or the Sons of Eorl.
You could also add a special rules which allows him to use the two-handed blade from his Warg. Maybe add 1 point for that let him go wild!

if you want to post your progress in painting miniatures or any other project related to lotr and OneRing then you could open a WIP(work in progress) thread in the Work in Progress sub-forum( its in The Hobby forum)

feanor: Thanks!
Since wild warg costs 8 points(at least in my ruins of arnor book, maybe its not updated) and a berserker costs 15 points, I figured 23 points could be fair. In fact I didnt thought of the two handed weapon yet, though your suggestion seems great!

euntalon: Thanks! I will post there as soon as possible :)

by the way, why are you pink? did I missed somthing?

You've got a beserker, i.e. a mad individual with no self-control or discipline, and a warg, i.e. a mad animal with no self-control or discipline, combined into a mental package. A superb combination going forward, but if they get held up, maybe they'd turn on each other out of sheer frustration? How about a house rule that, if they aren't in a fight for 2 turns, they turn on each other?

Good work on that, it is a brillaint first conversion :yay:

However, I think you need to cover up the hole in the warg's back.

Secondly, Warg mounts don't cost the same pts as Wild Wargs.

Warg (hero): 10pts
Warg (warrior/cheap hero): 6pts

And yes posting pts for mounts is legal.

GothmogTheWerewolf: Sadly I don't know how to use greenstuff(and I don't have any) - so i cant cover up that hole in the warg's back... someday, maybe :)

I didnt know that. Thank you very much! So, 21 points it is?

Angularity: sounds good. how would it work? I mean, the berserker is on the warg's back... mabye it will be like the berserker is thrown off the warg's back(someone said thrown rider's chart? :) )?

Just give him normal warg cavalry rules.

Extra attack when he charges. Then Two dice per each attack when he strikes to kill. Thrown rider rule. All that stuff.

I don't really agree with the rule that they turn on each other. Realistically, a few turns without attacking will probably come to about ten or fifteen seconds. If you do want to use that rule, then maybe give it another rule that gives the model an advantage.
