As I sit here and ponder all my wonderful new miniatures I am faced with the decision that has plauged me for decades. Should I use pastic glue or super glue for gluing my new Thorin and company miniatures. I've fought back and forth over this decision. Plastic glue can be nice for a permanent seal and melding of seams, but it can get stringy and if used to excess really muck up the mini. Super glue is easy to hand and won't muck up the mini, but not great for seams, which of course means lots of intricate green stuf work. Anyone put them together yet? What did you go with?

I haven't assembled mine yet, but I say plastic glue all the way. Yes, you must be careful, but it is worth the extra care for the strong, seam-reducing bond. Just remember that a litt goes a long way!

This is the best plastic glue or so I've found. The applicator tip is the best. You can apply just a little.

I ALWAYS use Testor's Model Master Liquid Cement on all my GW plastic miniatures. It has never let me down. I put together all of Thorin's company on Saturday using it and it worked perfectly as always.

I have used Revell and a couple of other liquid plastic glues. The trick is simply taking your time and applying the minimum and only on the surface that has to bond. The fine applicator nozzle on the Revell is great for getting small dots of glue into awkward spots - remember to put the cover on all the time except when you are actually applying the glue. If you forget and the metal pipe gets clogged, a fine pin will free it up again. I also use Humbrol liquid poly - it comes in a clear glass pot with a brush applicator. This get used more for larger models where you need to get glue on a bigger joint in a hurry - like trolls, mumakil, balrogs (I use it a lot in building 1:100 scale tanks). Both these brands work out better value per millilitre than the GW equivalent.

I've never used plastic glue in my life. Superglue all the way for me.
