Have been looking for these figures for some time but no joy. Anyone able to reassure me they do (still) exist? [Eomer Hornburg (Mtd) and the Elrond Ft/Mtd pair]. Many thanks.

Not sure which Eomer you're looking for - from Defender of Helm's Deep set or from Defender's of Rohan set ? Or some other one ?

Sorry - wasn't entirely clear.

- I believe the GW available figs are FC whereas I'm after metal (only)...

- If look at the Unofficial Collector's Guide, can see a mounted Eomer that is titled Eomer (Hornburg). Has his shield fastened to the saddle right rear.

Any advice?

Ok, got it now.

Elrond ft and mtd was only ever released in Finecadt for the hobbit. There are multiple metal Elrond on foot version from LOTR era, but no metal mounted Elrond was ever made, to my knowledge. So the finecast version is your only option for a mounted Elrond.

The Éomer that you’re after is commonly referred to as the Marshall of the Riddermark version - helmetless and with his horse stopping short - and is frequently used by Rohan players to represent his “Knight of the Pelennor” profile. It’s a fantastic model and is very rare and very expensive when it does pop up on eBay. I’ve actually been after it myself for years but have been unwilling to spend the $75 or so that it would cost to purchase on eBay.

I do think that model has an excellent chance of being one of the models that may “come back” and be a made to order model for a short time, as had been alluded to in various posts here and there.

Hope this helps...

Very clear - and my thanks. Will keep looking for the Eomer: I'm like you, in terms of trying to avoid throwing money at the hobby via EBay.
