It's sad to see you go as I have enjoyed following your progress and seeing just how good you can get with practice. Make sure you pick it up again once you come back though, someone with your painting talent can't just stop painting!

Well, it seems everyone in this hobby has to say this at least once, but as the title suggests, I must say farewell to the hobby for a while. I'm not leaving because I dislike it or anything like that, but I will be going on a trip that will last around 5 months. Needless to say, I will not be able to bring my miniatures and paint and other supplies with me. This will also likely be farewell to the forum as well, I'm not really sure what kind of internet access I'll have, or how much time I'll have to check, but I'll try and keep up as much as I can. So, when do I leave? Later this month, about 2 and a half weeks from now. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up, and to say thank you for all of the good times I've had here these last 5 years. If it wasn't for you all, I would have given up this hobby a long time ago. I'll try and be a little more active before I go, but I can't guarantee anything. I still have a lot of things to do to get ready, but I'll try. -PoW |

Look after yourself and make sure you stick your head in and say hi when you can. You'll be back one day I have no doubt. Too much talent to quit. |

I had at one point almost a whole year when I couldn't do any hobby stuff but I still wasted my time around the forums. :-P Take care and come back when the trip is over. -- Pasi |

I've gone thru bouts of no painting, sometimes by choice and sometimes by "force." As long as you want to come back, the hobby will be here. Good luck! |

Good news! It turns out that I have a better internet connection than I thought and it looks like I will be able to login regularly still. I still can't do any painting sadly, but at least I can stick around and hopefully give some useful feedback to people. On another note, I did bring my drawing stuff with me and will be working on that for a bit. For some reason, being ranked 9463 out of 9643 just doesn't sit well with me. I've got a few up now, and there will be more to come.
