Massive Easterling army

Hey everyone. My 18th birthday is this friday, and my sister got me the Fallen Realms book; I'll also be getting the mounted War Priest and Amdur. I've decided to start a wip, so you all can see my progress... This will be my army list: (I bought the 'Eastern Invaders box)

85 assorted warriors, Amdur ft and mtd, war priest, dragon knight, 18 kataphrakts, 4 captains, 3 bannerbearers, an Easterling heavy drum (conversion), Easterling bolt thrower, Easterling troll and finally a Easterling chariot! So if you wanna see a wip like this, leave your thoughts below! :-D

Sounds nice, please post a link if your WIP is ready. Maybe you should add some foot soldiers, shouldn't you? I'm a big easterlingsfan to. Are the easterlings still powerfull in the new rulebooks, and if yes, in wich way (like almost underpriced archery, uber phalanxes etc.)?

I meant it as some examples of powerful points in armies. So they can be wrong, but they were just some examples of how I would like my question to be answered. Hope I'm clear now

Oh right. Well I definitely upgrade all my kataphrakts and warriors to black Dragon's because fight 4 seems invaluable.

I don't really think easterlings specialise at one thing though, they are ok all right which gets me down a bit I guess when I compare them to Uruk hai, abrakan guard etc

I dont think they are as good as Uruks IMO,

But abrakan guard are insanely good for their points.

And how are Rohan and Gondor in the new books?
and serpent warriors?

Serpent warriors haven't changed, and yes, Abrakhan Guard are TOO good!
An Easterling army is very tough to crack, D6 on basically all the models. They lack elite units, though...

ah, just use some Abrakan for the elite part, nice to hear easterlings are still good.

Easterlings do NOT lack elie units. Both their infantry and cavalry canbe upgraded to Fight 4 AND they have Fight 4 Khandish in the same list.

Black Numenoreans and Morgul Knights are in the Mordor army, and are exactly the same as before, both profile and pts.

Black Numenoreans on foot are also in the Harad and Umbar list and can be upgraded to either be Fight 5 or poisoned blades.

So the BN are just again well armored, skilled, courageous fighters...
Would Serpent riders, BNs and Abrakhan guards as basic be a good army?
And what to do with mumaks?

You would need some spears for that since neither the Guards nor BNs have them. You could put the Betrayer in there too with the Riders, or with poison blade BN's. Mumakil are the same as before, use if you like, or not if you don't.

Happy Birthday!!! Eastern Invader Box? Is that available in the UK only because I donot remember seeing that packaging in the US. I have been trying to upgrade my Harad and Easterling forces and your package seems balanced at a quick glance. Or is the term "Eastern Invader Box" your own wording for the collection of awesome birthday gifts accumulated.

Oh well... I was tickled pink for awhile anyway. Will you please later post war reports of battles involving this particular Easterling army? I would like to know how well they perform overall. Thank you for sharing.
