what should i get for my rohan?

The Warriors arne't useless as they are cheaper so easier in strict WYSIWYG games.

Why would they be useless? For a little over half the points of a Rider, they're great to bulk out your force and take up tasks too mundane or dangerous for the expensive Riders. Not to mention, they're great models. GW really started hitting their stride when they were released.

Rohan Warrior with Bow is the same points as an Outrider
they have the same equipment but the outrider hits on 3+ has 4 courage and has its new courage rule.

The Warrior is rubbish. Im not talking about Riders. I still use Riders over Outriders

i take the plastics more often than metal just cus there cheaper (suddenly realises that he has around 50 hobbits and feels very hypocritical :rofl:

) but if i ever included outriders i would think about the green stuff plumes. i don't really like them too much and personally find it depressing that gw ha created something with the name "rider" in that is better on foot :/ . also what does WYSIWYG mean? im a n00b so got a bit confused. thanks.

Holy, I just got the book so I glazed over the Outrider profile. I didn't realize they'd upped the price the pay for horses by a point, so i thought he was 1 more than the archers. The boost in courage AND the Stand Fast! rule are weird together. Why bother making them some of the bravest mannish warriors in the game if they can use any Hero's Stand Fast? (The question is rhetorical, I know there will be times when it's beneficial. My point is, one or the other would put them above par. Both is overkill. Spread the love around, GW!)

Only because of the rather odd costing of their horse. If they were a point or two less when mounted, it would be worth taking them. Then again, Rohan needs a major sorting out that just wasn't done in this book. Why even bother with Warrior of Rohan archers now? It bugs me when one profile is so vastly overshadowed by another that even considering taking it becomes more of a joke. WoR archers are now a punchline.

Because they're plastic. That's literally the only reason to take them over the outriders.
