Only problems I see are you have neither bows nor speed. If you want to rely on all those foot soldiers, pick up a drummer, they are very effective. Also, a troll with a drum could be very effective, if you guard him well.

i was thinking about the drummer and taskmaster. the only calvary that i like to use a lot of are haradrim raiders. i much prefer swarms of foot troops to a few calvary.

You plan on using your Mordor army for SBG, right?

Gothmog might be a good choice, as he's good in both SBG and WotR (and also really annoying to play against...).

i really like his specia rule but his fight isn't the best.

Fight 5 is normally enough, especially in small games.

And in WotR he has epic strike. I would get Gothmog as he makes an excellent general. Have you considered getting any Morgul Knights? I know you said you didn't like cavalry but in the school league where none of my team's players had any cavalry, everyone except one person lost all their matches except one which was a draw each. Some stalkers would also be nice but as you're only getting Cirith Ungol and Black Gate I guess there isn't much point. Black Guard of Barad-dur are also cool.

i really like the morgul knights models and was thinking about getting some. my problem with most cavalry is that they are too expensive for too low defense. are morgul knights strong enough to resist arrow fire and still have enough of them to be effective? the max i would be using would be 6.

I think you're off to a good start. I like to see a good horde of standard Orc in there.

I think 6 Knights, kept in reserve to either flank or else exploit a weakpoint, would be enough. They may actually draw off attention you wouldn't want on the rest of your (more easily shot) models. But if they're not really your cup of tea or themed for you then don't worry about them.

Trolls in WotR are cool but at a higher risk of being lost quickly than in SBG. In SBG having a couple Trolls in your force can be very effective, and also draw fire.

Regarding the speed issue, it's a big risk not to have any ranged fire or enough high-speed models to threaten your enemy's ranged fire. In WotR you can compensate a little with At The Double moves and perhaps some magic. But in SBG it's a greater risk. I'm guessing though that your 48 Orc have some archers in there. They won't be great but they're better than nothing.

the orcs are 16 spear, 16 sword, 8 bow, 8 2-H weapon. the morgul knights would be nice. like i said earlier i already have a troll chieften but i am interested in getting an ordinary mordor troll. is 2 trolls too many in a 750 point game?

Considering your model limit is 75:

48 orcs = 288 points
Troll chief + regular troll = 240
That still leaves 222 points, enough for a drummer, a wraith and still a bunch more Morannons, or shagrat and some uruk hai.

And seeing a Troll Chief and one of his mates bearing down on you at that point level is going to put off a lot of players. I have a friend that used to play a lot with us and his SBG Mordor force (much feared) was almost always headed up by a Troll Chief.

When you get into WotR, there's a new "Battlehost" option that requires a Troll Chief and at least 3 other Trolls (plus a few other things), so you're about half-way there. 8)

what do you guys think of this army list. it would require getting a Mordor troll but i think i might be able to make it work.

-shagrat
-gorbag
-mordor troll chieften

-46 orcs 8 bow, 8 2-H weapon, 15 sword, 15 spear
-6 mordor uruk-hai 3 2-h weapon
-10 Morannon orcs 5 sword + shield, 5 spear + shield
