Yes I know I've just recently osted about my Mordor Army, but I want to get both armies sorted before I buy the rest of the models I need. Unlike the Mordor list, I know this is not too powerful, just asking for a little advice, I may not heed all of it though so be warned.

Here is my list (you'll notice it is different to the Angmar Army in my WIP which is more for show):

Epic Heroes:
The Witch-king of Angmar
The Dwimmerlaik
The Tainted

Legendary Formations:
Gulavhar, the Terror of Arnor
Buhrdur

Common Formations:
Angmar Orc Warband (6 companies) with two-handed weapons
Angmar Orc Warband (3 companies) with bows, Orc Captain
Carn Dum Warband (5 companies) with Barbarian Chieftain
Ghostly Riders (3 companies) with Ghostly Captain
Spectral Host (2 companies)
Warg Pack (4 companies)

Rare Formations:
Werewolf Pack
Shade
Gundabad Blackshields (4 companies)
Carn Dum Peasant Archers(Sharkey's Ruffians) (2 companies)

Total Points: 1995
Might Points: 17
Formations: 12
No of companies: 33

Thanks again everyone.

Hi GothmogtheWerewolf,

Since 1. this is 2000 pts and 2. I find it really hard to like the Witch-King as a 200pt R2 Hero, what about getting a few more spirits and doing this as that Battlehost - then you could kill two birds with one stone and give the Witch-King the 'No Man may kill me' fate?

Sorry for the very late return reply, I was on holiday for a week and then I had to heklp prepare the garden for my sister's 16th birthday (today).

Hilbert - about the Tainted, if you play Angmar you'd be mad not to use the Tainted, hhe's the best of their 3 wraiths for the list. The Witch King would go in the Orcs with 2-handed weapons, the Dwimmerlaik in the Carn Dum Warband and the Tainted in the Spectres.

Xelee - About the battlehost and fate - yes its a great idea, I have a new list made but I won't post it yet its late where I am, tomorrow probably

Look out for the newer list and feel free to helpp before I fork out on more models.

Watcher in the shadows, combined with Grima and courage reducing spells goes absolutely brilliantly with your ghosts. As a Dwarf player, who had three Courage 6 heroes affecting most of my units, I know how much you want to drop enemy heroes away and reduce courage.

I thought about including Grima earlier as I was planning on converting a Twilight Ringwraith into a Duskwraith and counting it as Grima, but I couldn't yet find the right one. I've never actually considered using the Watcher in the Shadows fate though, itt is mighty expensive and you can only have one fate at 2000pts. So, viva la resolution, since I've got the Mordor army at 2,000pts, I will increase this army size to 2,250pts, 2,500pts, 2,750pts or 3,000pts, which gives me more lleway, so thanks for the help for now, I will post a larger army list as soon as possible, and yes Hilbert there will be ghostly riders (converted from RoR).

Hi GothmogtheWerewolf,

I am coming at this from the reverse direction (adding in the Orcs after using Carn Dum as the base) but I think you would get a heap of benifit out of making more of those Barbarians a priority. They really are excellent troops, quite durable and pack a punch. They are just the thing to stand up the front and then let you also punchy but more fragile (ie all spirits, Orcs w 2HW) units hide a little and strike where you want them to.

As long as you aren't constrained by battlehost requirements, I think you are on to a good thing with the Ghostly Cav. They are expensive by far my favourite Spirit unit (though IIRC pectres allow an Epic to be in them, which is potent) and I had at one point planned to convert some up in the same way as you have - I sold off those troops to help a mate start a Rohan army... but perhaps with plastic Conquest Norman Knights or somesuch? Hmm, something to consider for my own army.
