After watching the extended edition of The Two Towers i had a hankering to invent a force of combined Orc and Uruk Hai models. However i realised that i wanted lots of Uruk Archers but couldn't ally in the Orcs and keep the bow numbers up.

So here we go, made from the White Hand Legion list and all legal and above board:

Raiders:
Captain with Orc Bow: 55

White Hand:
Captain with Shield: 55
14 Uruk Hai Scouts with Shield: 126
14 Orc Warriors with Spears: 84
16 Uruk Hai Scouts with Orc Bow: 144
4 Uruk Hai Scouts: 32

Total: 496pts, 48 Warriors, 16 Bows (1 Hero Bow), 2 Heroes, 4 Might

Can't really see anything i have done wrong in this list, but just wanted to put it up for others to see. Just thought why not do a list based on a film scene. Next thing i know it will get run down by Riders of Rohan

For the raiders captain I'd suggest a named hero (Lurtz, Ugluk or Vrasku). They are usually a better deal for their points, and you get an extra point of might. Since you have 4 points left, you could have 5 scouts and 13 scout with shield, and come out dead on 500.

Legion of the White Hand has orcs and uruk scouts in the same list...sure, you'd have to sacrifice some Uruks, but the list only counts total warriors - not warriors of a particular race. For example, you could take 40 orc warriors and get 20 uruks with bows...

I agree with Whatfrog... Take a named hero... It's some points more...

I would take a named Hero if i actually had a named Hero model to put in the list, however as i don't i can't at the moment.

As for choosing the White Hand it was so i could have a sort of 1/3 balance of Scouts with Shield, Scouts with Bow and Orcs with Spear to give a bit of a varied fighting force that was inspired by TTT film.

In the film, one uruk scout carried a pike, and none of the orcs carried spears.

Well as i can't actually give the Uruks Pikes then that is a no and i am not putting a Warrior in lol. As for the lack of Orcs with Spears i said it was inspired, not a scene for scene copy of it, just wanted something with a balance of bow / shield / spear but also a little different so based it on the opening force of TTT.

If you want a named hero (I know you said you didn't have any) get Ugluk. That way you have a themed hero from the movies and the book.

True, however i can't find anywhere at the moment to get Ugluk (as i am not spending GW prices even with Vrasku included).
