SBG Gondor cavalry army thoughts?

I am thinking about raising a cavalry host, all troops will be Knights of Minas-trith about 24 cavalry models with king Elessar and two mounted captains to lead the force. What are your thoughts on this? Could this list work or is it just wishful thinking?

You could also consider Swan Knights of Dol Amroth for Elite/Shock Cavalry.

It's a hell of a lot better than an all cavalry Rohan army, and considering how low modle counts are now with all those necessary Captains, I doubt you'sd be too hevaily outnembered, and you're less likely to b=get shot to death than before because you start so close to the enemy. so althugh fragile, i think you could work it.

Yeah they will be a later addition. Atm I just want some troops to get me started.

I've only got 6 Knights myself so I'm curious as to how good an all Knight army would be.

King Elessar with horse 260p.
12 Knights of Minas tirith with shields 168p.

Warband 2
Captain of Minas tirith with horse and shield 65p.
12 Knights of Minas tirith 168p.

661 points...

Not enought for another captain, better a banner or a hornblower to fill the points

My Knight list is Boromir, Faramir and 14(I think) other nights.. that's 500pts I believe. Only used it once or twice, but daaaamn it hits hard.. and then gets flattened lol.

Thanks Hilbert. I've not had time to get down to GW and get the new source books :sad:

so I will not be making any proper army list for a while but I am just brain storming some ideas.

Yeah I am going to have almost twice as many knights so I will be sending in the first warband and keeping the second behind when first warband gets flattened the second one can come in and finish off anything the first warband didn't deal with.
