Created this list as i wanted to try and build a grey company list that wasnt just static. Its mainly for fun games as i figured it wnt cost to much.

Aragorn with elven cloak - 210
12 rangers of arnor with 11 spears - 107

Ranger of the north + spear - 26

Halbarad - 65
11 warriors of arnor - 88

Legolas with armour and elven cloak - 105

Gimli with elven cloak - 100

Total - 700
29 models. 13 might. 16 bows.

I plan to use the warriors as a shield wall then use the rangers for support. Its just a fun list but id still like some oppinions. Thanks.

Ranger of the north allows for four rangers to not count towards bow limit. I have bow limit of 8 and i have 8 rangers.

11 none bows, 8 bows.... that is not 33% even rounding up that doesnt make sense. 6 yes, 8 no.

ok so i have 28 models, oops. Ok so 33% of 23 models is 7.59 models rounded up is a bow limit of 8. With my ranger of the north i can have 12 bows and im not over my bow limit. Any other comments?

The rangers who have gone off with the RotN will not count to your model count for the purposes of bow limit in my view...

ie
you have
Models that count towards check
11 arnor + 6 bow rangers
Models that dont count due to RotN
4 bow rangers

hmm I can see where you are coming from... does anyone have an inspiration on this one?

i feel like this is bending the rules.
it reads that if you choose to play a grey company list that you can include a ranger of the north or dunedain for every 4 rangers and this allows you to take your bow limit above 33% if you want to or not. To me this means that you need a RotN or dunedain for every 4 rangers, not just for rangers that would bring your bow limit above the 33%.
i.e.
for the 12 rangers that you have in your list you need 3 RotN because the bow limit has exceeded 33%.

if you wish to keep within the bow limit than you don't need any RotN.
i.e
a list with 24 models can have 8 models (in your case rangers) with bows, including heros

If I read this right, yes. If you want to have an army of 24 rangers all have bows, you would need 6 RotN.
