We are playing about 500 points approximate match games. I have several Army Lists I'd love your feedback on. A Warband 1: Golden King 4 Mahud Warriors w/War Spear 4 Half Trolls 4 Half Trolls w/2 Handed Weapons Warband 2: Hasharin 1 Haradrim Warrior w/Banner 6 Watchers of Karna 3 Watchers of karna w/Bow the other version is similar... B Warband 1: Golden King 2 Mahud Raiders w/War Spear 4 Half Trolls 4 Holf Trolls w/2 Handed Weapons Warband 2: Hasharin 1 Haradrim Warrior w/Banner 6 Watchers of Karna 3 Watchers of karna w/Bow this one too... C Warband 1: Mahud King Mounted, War Spear, & Shield 3 Mahud Raiders w/Blowpipe 4 Mhaud Raiders w/War Spear Warband 2: Mahud Tribemaster w/War Spear and Shield 1 Mahud Warrior w/Banner 4 Mahud Warriors w/ War Spear 3 Mahud Warriors w/Blowpipe 4 Half Trolls and finally... D Warband 1: War Mumak W/Gnarled Hide, Beastmaster, Rappelling Lines 8 Mahud Warriors w/Blowpipe 4 Half Trolls w/2 Handed Weapons Also... Thank you Lonelyknight for the Army Builder. You can give the mahid Warriors on foot a normal spear for less pts. |

Spears and war spears cost the same. The mounted Mahud profile allows a war spear (lance), which becomes a spear on foot. edit: @Rangefinder: I kind of like C, but I just like the camel models a lot. The Mumak is a bit "all eggs in one basket" at 500 points. |

Would those lists be a bit light on models? Don't know myself (and know nothing about GW Mahud) but I've read that kind of advice here for 500pts. |

@Whafrog... I also have some camel love! I don't like them dying before they kill their own points worth in enemy models. Agreed, the quantity of models in the Mumak list is pretty small too. I thought it would be a novel idea to drop in the Half Trolls once the stomping commenced. I was following the Quantity vs. Quality discussion. It's what prompted this posting. I was not sure what the feeling was toward Warbands without 12 models. The Warriors of Karna have 2 attacks as well as the Half Trolls. So..., If you had to pick between A and B, which one wins out? It is only a decision between having 4 warriors or 2 cavalry. |
