So my friend and I have our armies ready. We do have a custom rule that warbands do not need leaders, but the 12 troops per still apply. Also, we can mix forces in warbands as long as they are on the same side and makes some sense. Here is my force:

Warband 1
6 Dwarf Rangers
6 Grim Hammers

Warband 2
Gimli
6 Dwarf Rangers
6 Grim Hammers

His Force:

Warband 1
4 Black Guard
8 Mordor Orcs

Warband 2
4 Mordor Orcs
3 Wildmen of Dundland

Warband 3
Mahur
12 Uruk-Hai Scouts

I suppose I could use them as Khazad Guards, since I don't have the models, but I want to give the GrimHammers a try. I know people say they aren't worth it, but I think I can make use of them.

You know you could just nominate a squad leader, mark/note the model, add ten points to his cost, place 2 points in any combo of M/W/F you wish as a field promotion. Battle Company style. That solves your need for a hero for the warband rules without buying more heroes.

Alright. Well I have no other suggestions besides replace the hammers but Ive already read that you want to try them. Theyre not really bad units, just not the best for their points.

That'd be "Barack"
And if you're really that muck of a stickler, it should be "Khazad" with a circumflexe on the second a. (Can't do it On this device)
