So there is a tournament coming up soon and it is 350 points, I know its a small amount but I see it as a tactical challenge. I want a list that will do fairly well and give me the best chance possible of winning with the armies that I own. First up is my Moria list: Warband 1 Durbuz - 60 Warg Marauder - 35 Warg Marauder - 35 3 Goblins - 3 Spears - 15 2 Goblins - 3 Shields - 10 Warband 2 Shaman - 45 5 Goblins - 5 Spears -25 6 Goblins - 6 Shields - 30 Warband 3 Captain - Shield - 40 6 Goblins - Spears - 30 5 Goblins - Shields - 25 Total = 350 6 Might, 32 Models, Break Point 16 Or there is my Angmar list: Warband 1 Barrow Wight - 50 3 Spectre - 45 4 Orcs - 4 Spears - 24 Warband 2 Orc Captain - Shield, Warg - 55 5 Orcs - 5 Spears - 30 5 Orcs - 5 Shields - 30 Warband 3 Orc Shaman - 50 5 Orcs - Spears - 30 6 Orcs - Shields - 36 Total = 350 3 Might, 31 Models, 16 Break Point So they are my 2 lists that I am thinking about taking, which is better and can I improve on them or should I just mix the two armies together to take the best of both worlds. The second one seems to have an edge over the first one, but the first list is tempting because of that Warg Marauder, if not at least for looks. |

I don't like your Moria list as it stands to be honest but it's always better than Angmar lol. Moria is best as a true hoard and Durburz's warband is too small IMO. I typically take this list at 300 and smash everything! Warband 1 Durburz 12 Moria Goblins (6 w Spear) Warband 2 Goblin Shaman 12 Moria Goblins Warband 3 Goblin Shaman 12 Moria Goblins So at your added 50 points you could swap out a Goblin for the Warg Marauder and add in some more spears to look like this Warband 1 Durburz 12 Moria Goblins (6 w Spear) Warband 2 Goblin Shaman Warg Marauder 11 Moria Goblins (7 w spear) Warband 3 Goblin Shaman 12 Moria Goblins (12 w spear) |

Marauders arnt 70pts. You can get 2 for that price. Is this for Shadow & sorcery at titans (London) at the end of march? |

Ah yes my bad was late and I was tired, I have now adjusted the points and changed the first war band. Yes it will hopefully be for the Shadow & Sorcery at the end of March if I can get it all painted. I wanted to with something really filthy and full of cheese. Well as far as 350 points can take it that is. |

Your first list is essentially what won the last event at titans but at 750pts, Mik had 6 warg marauders, durburz, and then tonnes of goblins warriors led by shamans/blackshield shamans. With this in mind I reckon this list will be perfect for the event. However the angmar list looks very interesting and considering one of the scenarios centres around killing a big spider the wights' paralyse will be very handy. Angmar are not seen as often as moria on the tournament circuit so you would get props for being a bit more 'out there' but it is your call at the end of the day. |

I think I will go with a mixture of both lists, Orcs in front rank supported by cheap goblin spears and the take Captains to bump up my overall Might points. May be something like the list below: Warband 1 Durbuz - 60 10 Goblins - Spears - 50 Warband 2 Goblin captain - Shield - 40 5 Goblins - Spears - 25 5 Goblins - Shields - 25 Warband 3 Orc captain - Shield - 45 9 Orcs - Shields - 54 Warband 4 Barrow wight - 50 Total = 349 7 Might, 33 Models, Break point 17 |
