That's a really cool, fun looking army, very different and certainly interesting. I think it would do very well against low courage armies like goblins where harbinger of Evil effectively means every model needs to roll 9 or more to charge you (Fury wouldn't be a problem thanks to Sap Will) but your low numbers will really hurt you against decent courage armies.

at 700 points you could expect an elf army to comfortably have 45 models so nearly a third again as much as you. Their warriors would effectively be Courage 4 (I'm assuming you're draining the Heroes' courage) and would still get off a large number of charges and quickly be able to surround you and start charging the wraiths, neutralising their magic and killing them with a bit of luck.

It's certainly an interesting proposition but I think a good player would be able to work around it's strengths, I'd be interested to play against it though.

even for elves aint easy with a shade around in melee... and shadowlord for banner effect on the blacknumenorians aint easy at all to face....

you don't need shadowlord, he's not worth it, there is to little shooting normally and you're deffence 6 witch should protect you.

I would for example take the undying (best magic and doesn't get killed as leader), or the drimailaik (since you don't have mutch might I should use him, only 4 left, but your opponnent has a harder time with courouge tests because will and might boosting is nessecerry
And he can't call as mutch heroics witch are nessecery against this army because it's fast broken.
And somthimes your opponent must boost a roll because of the shade, that maybe costs 2 might.

Disagree, my 700 point Isengard army would tear this apart if he didn't have the Shadowlord. Without much luck I'd be gunning down 2/3 Numenorians per turn and he would have no choice but to walk towards my crossbows. Shooting certainly isn't as dominant as it was pre-sourcebooks but Isengard, Elves, Harad and Hobbits can still put out a terrifying amount of effective sabots each turn.

well I suggest you then fight this army Bolg, intencionally its to move this formations very closeby and the best heroe you can throw at me in melee will likely be neutralized almost the entire time...
As I experienced defence 6 despite being good is not that hard to hit, get a couple S4 pops or S3 and on 6s you get kills, only gets good if youre defence 7 and only dwarves or the death guys own that kind of defence.
The shooting is almost nill hitting on 6s and remember when a shade around you get -1 to win the fight and this army got a 6" banner around.

All army's have their weaknesses, but you can't build it on those.
I agree he would be teared appart because of the x-bows.
But a undying has 8 more will than a shadowlord and regains it because of the dark marshall.
Furthermore If you use terrain it's not that hard to avoid the shots.
The point is: look at a tournament, how mutch archers do you see?
And can the destroy your army? Because your D6 there aren't mutch archer army's that can beat you with archery?
how many big heroes are there witch need to bee transfixed/compelled.

Lats 3 battle tournament I did fight 6 uruk scouts with bows and 1 legolas,
that's it in 3 700 point battles.

Lots. Lots and lots. Lots and lots and lots.

Last UK tournament, 500 points:

1st place: Wood Elves & Woses - roughly 8 wood elf archers + Leggy + Ghan Buri Ghan and 9 Woses for 11-21 shots per turn (depending on range) hitting on 3+

2nd Place: Hobbits - 20+ shots hitting on 3+

3rd place: Harad - 17+ shots hitting on 3+

These armies and ranking are fairly representative of top 3 finishes at UL tournaments. Shooting plays a big part.

Yes it plays a big role... look at (and im gonna give Thermo army as an example on his last batrep) he played all cav on that rescue mission vs gondor, his luck was having speed and archers vs a no archer army, strong army with alot osgiliath vets and citadel guard, but what could they do if the enemy just keep falling back and shooting... they wont kill much a turn, but lil by lil you will start seeing a dead pile and he keeps running from you and you can´t get on him or spend alot might to call heroic moves to get a chance to get him...

The shadowlord here is to counter that shooting, since its a melee based army I need a field protection, of course im not completly defenceless since both nazguls got steed and magic which mean on a movement phase they can move, shoot spell, then run back behind the line and inside the safe anti shooting bubble

The key for the nazguls on this list is not really to leech magic at all, its literally to ensure survival of your troops, they are my support models to prevent models from dying, if I could I would had the dwimmerlaik to leech the heroes points and thats why all things would be very complicated for anything to fight the 3 most annoying nazguls at one...

I dont think the undying is that much of a bugger, sure he got alot will and can use it as fate, but his skill its offensive and its to regain will if an enemy spell is casted 6"... sometimes when you fight armies you see no wizards... so point sink on 1 skill just there....also most spells that are good to pick on single targets or break formations like sorcerous blasts are 12"+ range...
