Hi all
I have been thinking Galadhrim knights would be good for shoot & run (12 inch movement & 3+ shoot value.) anyway what is the cheapest mounted hero that can cast blinding light? Thinking about a possible Cirdan conversion in which i would mount him (2+ cast,4 will,90 points, terror) (100 points with horse). Galadriel is (base) 130 but cannot be mounted. Wheres gandalf (Grey) is 170 (base) 180 (with horse.)
I am open to ideas.
Please say if you have had experience with shoot & run tactics before.
All cavalry Archers force?
Legolas mounted?

I didn't think Cirdan could have a horse? If you want to do shoot and run, take rivendell knights so you can have 100% bows. Seen it used well but it takes lots of practice.

Cirdan cannot take a horse, in addition he's not in the same army list, neither is Gandalf. So to have a mounted spell caster who could cast blinding light you'd have to the Gandalf.
I'd also agree w the Dunedain that Rivendell Knights would be the better option

I shall have a galadhrim shieldwall with Cirdan (foot) then legolas mounted with galadhrim knights. Still intrested about how people generally use cavalry.?

I have a 500 point fully mounted Galadhrim army, Legolas and a captain mounted with 1/3 bows... Check out my blog:

I wouldn't use them as shoot and run, they are fast and have 12" movement, but I use the archers to support - they lay down some supporting fire and have elven blades to jump in when needed.
