600 point pure Angmar Army

Hello everyone

I plan on making a pure Angmar army at 600 pts.
Here's what I have so far.

War band 1:
The Dwimmerlaik w/ Horse
6x Dead Marsh Spectres

War band 2:
Orc Captain w/ Shield
Mordor Orc Banner Bearer
3x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Shield
4x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Spear
2x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ 2 Hand Weapon
2x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Orc Bow

War band 3:
Orc Captain w/ Shield
4x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Shield
4x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Spear
2x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ 2 Hand Weapon
2x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Orc Bow

War band 4:
Orc Captain w/ Shield
4x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Shield
4x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Spear
2x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ 2 Hand Weapon
2x Mordor Orc Warriors w/ Orc Bow

Switch a catain fir shaman and get rid of the orc bows for regular ones.

Mordor Orc Warriors can only have orc bows. They can't equip normal or any another bows.

Yeah, what I meant was to drop the irc warriors with bows for regular orcs with shields.

Ok, shouldn't I replace them with 3 spear and 3 shield or 6 two hand weapons?

I would say concentrate your special units into there own war bands. So replace the two handed weapons from two war bands with shield or spear and add two to the third. Do the same with the bows too. Their not going to be all that useful most of the time, since orcs can't shoot well and the two handed weapons give that -1 when your already like to be outclassed. Plus the low defense makes then weak points in a shield wall. Other than that yeah, get a shaman in there for fury.

I would have to agree with swapping a shaman for one of the orc captains. Fury makes orcs and the captains so much more powerful.

Also I would swap out the orcs with orc bows for spears. Now that 2Handed can be supported. It allows you to have a shield wall with your orcs and then perhaps have the 2Handed guys go around with spears as your real killing power.

I think the Dwimmerlaik with spectres combo is really good! You could use that to great effect to break up an army that has shields walls.

IMO, the Angmar list really suffers from the lack of those cheap 3 might heroes. Swapping out those captains for Grishnak and Gorbag adds 2 might at minimal cost. Technically those warbands would then be "Mordor" warbands but it's the same warriors.

Yeah exactly either drop the orcs with bows for close quarters models or put in some orc trackers. Better for the job.
