Hi all, after a personal debate i have chosen which army i will play,
Firstly it is not completely competitive, i'm only playing with my friend.
Secondly, i have no idea which army he will start.
Also can a hero lead a warband from a different list?

Here's my army

Imrahil - horse, lance
5x KoDA - horse lance

CoDA
12 MaA - pikes

Duinhir
12 RoG - 6 spears

Angbor
4 CoL
4 MaA - pikes

703pts in total, 41 models, 13 bows all 3+, and 9 might. All criticism/advice welcome!

Your army realy lacks a durable front line, so i would strongly suggest drop 3-4 rangers/3-4 MaA and get some knights on foot.
Also better place imrahil on foot along with your main formation(to maximize his banner rule) and your captain on horse to lead your cavalry

well my plan was to keep im + cav back till battle lines clash then attack flank so whole fight is in 12"

without knowing your enemies army this can be risky (altho we live and play for risks ) but without a durable front line you will loose really fast on ground with only rangers/pikes

and to answer your last question, duinhir CAN lead your warband of rangers

No - Warriors can only be lead by hero's of the same army list.

Although if your just fighting a friend ask him if he minds...I know some people view Minas Tirith & fiefdoms as 'Gondor' when not playing competitively

What I would use at 700 pts.

This is also the list I run at 700, a solid phalanx and good core of archers with a massive cav unit. Another option is to drop a few BR archers, and a 4-6 mounted knights to create another Phalanx if ur not a cavalry guy.

And Duinhir can't lead rangers, but I guess you've done that so u can add spears?

Yes i did it so they wouldn't be completely useless in close combat.

Alternatively instead of angbor's warband i could take Beregond with 10 GotFC (my opponent won't mind the difference).
