so i'm going to a 500 points tournuament in my local area. I came up with two lists, completely different but equally enjoyable imo.

list one- wood elves

warband 1
leader: legolas with armour and elven cloak
10 wood elves with bow

warband 2
thranduil
5 wood elves with spear
5 wood elves (modeled with axes)

warband 3
rumil
5 wood elves with spears
4 wood elves (modeled with axes)

models: 32
might: 9
bows: 10+3+1
________________________________________________

list two- kin strife umbar

warband 1
leader- the dark marshal with horse
11 mordor orcs with spears (salt thralls)

warband 2
corsair captain with shield
10 corsair revers (with axes of course)

warband 3
corsair captain with shield
8 castellans of umbar

models: 32
might: 6
magic and lots of fight 5 and attacks

criticism WANTED. i might modify a bit but that's what i have in mind :)

I'd vote the second list. Salt Thralls FTW! Lol that and giving wood elves axes is IMO rules abuse.

Both are very competitive lists for sure. The second one maybe a little bit better. Check the 2nd now and the 1st in the future :)

Are those Corsairs secretly Ironborn or something lol?

Since Reavers are incredibly competitive, they could be your best option. 8)

I think the corsairs are a better list as the dark marshall on horse certainly helps with +1 Attacks and also mobile casting means you can move in and out before getting charged.

You also have a good combination of models so you can mix things up and you also have a solid fight value around.

Thanks, I'll definitely try it. Actually another orc spear fits in there as I had given an armoured horse to the dark marshall. So its actually one extra model.

My only concern with the second list is positioning. In tge new dos scenarios when you are defender in rescue or attacker in rescue and blockade, the warbands start away from each other. Imagine 12 orcs and dark marshall in the middle surrounded by the entire enemy team...

Also bowfire might be an issue.

Something else to consider is dropping the castellan of umbar upgrades and a corsair captain and get a black numenorean marshall.
