Ok, so I decided to scrap the idea of just using Mordor. It was becoming too difficult to find a balance between what I wanted to take and what would be effective. Angmar has some really cool mins to field and look like fun to use. Here's my list so far. Warband 1 The Witch King of Angmar w/ 3M/20W/3F Fell Beast Crown of Morgul 6x Orc Warriors w/ Spear Shield Warband 2 Shade 6x Orc Warriors w/ Shield Spear 6x Orc Trackers Warband 3 Shagrat, War Leader 9x Morannon Orcs w/ Shield 3x Orc Trackers Warband 4 Orc Shaman 3x Morannon Orcs w/ Shields 3x Orc Trackers 730pts. 40 Units. 7 Might. Not quite sure which options to take with my last 70 pts. Should I fill the ranks with a few more Morannon Orcs or a few Black Guards? Is it perhaps lacking a wee bit of mobility and add in a few Warg Riders or an Orc Drummer? An Orc Captain for some extra might? A banner and some Orcs? A couple of Spectres? Shift some minis around to fit in a Cave Troll? Switch out Shagrat for a couple of lesser captains or for Buhrdur? I do like the thought of having a solid D7 3M/3W/3F Captain in my ranks. I'm still also up in the air about the Orc Trackers. Perhaps they might be good for holding an objective, but they're still only D3 with an 18" range. Everything bar themselves will out shoot them and they'll probably get cut down really quickly if they do get engaged in combat. |

Drop the Trackers and crown of Morgul. Evil archery is useless expect/except ( what is the right one?) In massive numbers or in Harad or Isengard xbows. Replace them with orcs and captain for more models and higher breakpoint.  I really like Shargat the Warleader too so I would keep him. Its always good to have hero with 3 across his stats. And lastly, how much M/W/F does WK have?

Nice list but i would like to see more spearblocks instead of archers. If you wonna push some trackers in organize em in one single warband but not sure about the captain there... |
