Seems a good choice to me. The only thing I'd add was that from what I've heard online and elsewhere, Balin is better as an 'add-on' hero if you like, so take him if you have enough points available, but don't choose him straight away. A wiser strategy would be to replace Balin with Dwalin throughout, except in your first example, providing you have enough points available. |

Don't replace Balin by Dwalin! In list three you are already totaly outnumbered and Dwalin cost and the switch costs at least 4 warriors. In my opinion Balin is a good choice, if you already have heroes with a good damage output and a little model number and thats were you are with list 2 and 3. |

I'd say 1 or 4 would be the most competitive of the lists, either a lot of high grade troops(4) with respectable leaders. Or a moderate number of troops(1) and some decent combat heroes. Both those list are also good bases for bigger armies too, easy to raise to 700 or 750 without a lot of moving units or number shuffling. Which I always like in a list, lets you change up what you can field quickly so you can spend more time playing. |

I took list 1 to a tournament last october and came 5th outta 22 so it is competitive. I found it struggled against other high D armies as the normal warriors cannot kill. I like to add a few dale bowmen in for board control and to spice it up a bit. Erebor can get very boring if you keep playing the same list. |
