Hi all.
I am very keen on going to England and take part in TOS for next year now.
Not sure what I would take but for this year if I Went but I would be tempted to take THorins Company, did anyone take this to TOS this year, did it work?

Thorin, Oakenshield, Orcrist
Dwalin
Gloin
Dori
Nori
Ori
Oin
Bifur (I really like Bofurs model but Bifurs special rule feels better)
Kili (Is Fili better, like Kilis model better than Fili, though I would probably use throwing weapon more than the bow, good to have the option to use a bow)

Tot: 600p
Would this work? Is Oin and Ori good options or should I try to fit in more "fighty" models?

Have fun

The main thing that is lacking here is movement. dropping some of the weaker heroes in favour of ponies would be a good option (of course modelling wise, this is a bit of a pain as GW don't produce a pony model)

I think the list will do ok, but obviously has a weakness against ranged armies, and you don't have the defence to be able to endure it for too long like normal dwarves.
You could try dropping some of the weaker models, but then you are losing theme and replacing it with something almost as vulnerable like Gandalf (who you would want for blinding light). I think you would have to drop 4 models, which is quite a bit.
Just stick with what you have and learn to heroic march I guess.

I prefer kili. As you say, the throwing weapon would get more use, and you would want to deploy as close as possible. 1 regular bow isn't going to achieve anything at 600 pts and you need everyone to be in combat so you aren't getting completely trapped.
